5Dimes Adjusts Super Bowl 46 Odds

NFL Super Bowl futures are in full fluctuation, as oddsmakers make adjustments based upon what they've seen during the first four weeks of this season, and on how their clientele is betting. Here's a quick look at some of the more interesting Super Bowl movers.

The Baltimore Ravens began this season getting around +1,500 to win the Super Bowl. But after a thorough beating of Pittsburgh in week 1 and a grounding of the New York Jets in week 4, part of a 3-1 start, 5Dimes.com is now listing Baltimore as the co-third choice on its Super Bowl 46 betting board at +900.

The New Orleans Saints have a similar story. The Super Bowl champs of two seasons ago started off this season as a +1,500 pick to win The Big One again. And after winning three of its first four games New Orleans is now also listed at +900 at 5Dimes.

And the Detroit Lions, thanks to their great start, have experienced one of the more significant adjustments to their Super Bowl odds. Just before this season started Detroit was being offered at right around 40/1 to win the Super Bowl. As of this week 5Dimes is now listing the 4-0 Lions as the seventh choice on its Super Bowl 46 board at +1,800.

Other teams that have seen their Super Bowl odds get considerably shorter include the 3-1 Houston Texans, who have gone from around 30/1 to +1,300; and the 3-1 Buffalo Bills, who have been bet down from 150/1 to +6,600.

On the other side of the spectrum the Kansas City Chiefs, who won the AFC West last year, entered this season getting about 40/1 to win the Super Bowl. But after their 1-3 start, and thanks to season-ending injuries to RB Jamaal Charles and S Eric Berry, KC is now getting +50,000 (500/1) on 5Dimes' Super Bowl board.

Other teams that have seen their Super Bowl odds go up include the 1-3 Philadelphia Eagles, who have gone from 10/1 to +2,000; the 2-2 New York Jets, who have been bumped from 13/1 to +2,200; the defending NFC South champion Atlanta Falcons, who have moved from 15/1 to +4,000; the turnover-prone Dallas Cowboys, who also have been adjusted upwards from 15/1 to +4,000; and the defending NFC North champion Chicago Bears, who have been bumped from 25/1 to +7,000.
