SportsBetting Sportsbook Review
Bonuses, 8.9 – Standard 10% signup bonuses and 5% reload bonuses greet the new visitor. Specials such as 5% juice NFL Fridays (that’s 5% cheaper odds when you bet the NFL on a Friday, for those of you who aren’t sure what juice means) is another quality offering.
Customer Service, 8.7 – Live help is a bit rudimentary, but at least exists here, alongside toll-free customer support. Separated itself from former parent Sportsbook.com family for customer support in 2007 and experienced some lags, but has been effective for the most part. There have been slow-pay complaints in various online forums dating to 2007-2008 but they appear to be making strides in cleaning up this important area.
Odds variety, 9.3 – Offering the WorldGaming odds platform means a robust and complete array of sports and prop odds. It means all the standard sports plus unique adjusted run lines in baseball, cool props such as total team pitches thrown per inning and which team will win an inning in baseball. In short, it’s an excellent variety of sport and bet types.
Overall Experience, 8.6 – What is lacks in pizzazz, it makes up for in reliability and comfort. The odds variety is excellent and access to the casino, poker and horses makes for a well-rounded, one-stop location. Contests add to the overall experience as there is always a contest on the go where customers can hit it big, whether at Triple Crown time or March Madness. The site itself, as mentioned, is a bit stilted and could use an overhaul.
Payment Solutions, 9.0 – A leading credit card handler, SportsBetting.com offers VISA, MC and money transfer for depositing and wires and cashier cheques for withdrawals. The selection is not great, but the success rate in moving funds has been consistently tight.
Reputation, 8.9 – An industry mainstay, SportsBetting.com has neither rocketed to the top of online gambling’s must-visit sites nor has it incurred any major faux pas that brought disrepute to its name. In that sense, the ‘slow-and-steady-wins-the-race’ approach has been successful for them. It is name everyone knows and its odds are associated in odds feeds of some of the world’s largest mainstream sports sites, indicating its willingness to invest in extending its brand reach. The absence of major trouble in its past is a likely forecaster of smooth sailing in the future.
Software, 8.9 – Running the WorldGaming sports platform, Sportsbetting.com is one of numerous books sharing this sports engine. While it lacks flash, it has proven to be stable and reliable. Poker runs on the Cake network, while the casino is an RTG installation – both are solid and reputable platforms.
Stability/License, 8.9 – Owner of License #5536/JAZ from the Netherlands Antilles Gaming Commission, SportsBetting.com has been a license holder since 1998 under Reuben Enterprises Ltd. Some of the industry’s biggest names are licensed here in Curacao and SportsBetting.com benefits from its association with this international licensor, which is on the UK regulatory White List. Our experience with this company has been positive and we accept them to be stable and reliable and well-governed.
TSB Experience, 9.4 – Members of TopSportsbooks.com have dealt with SportsBetting.com in handling and distributing odds feeds among other vendor tasks in recent years. Management has always been responsive to issues, timely with payments and respectful of contracts – in short, we trust their word and trust that a contract is binding when it’s signed. TopSportsbooks.com is confident that this operation will always make good on promises and bets and will continue to play fair with vendors and more importantly with its players.
Website , 8.8 – Even with some design enhancements in recent years, the site remains one of the least interesting (albeit very functional) sites in the top sportsbooks list. The logo is strong and well-recognizable and its tagline ‘Sports betting made simple and secure’ is a truthful mantra. We would modernize the design and strip away some of the clip-art-ish fonts and image around bonuses as they detract from the seriousness of the site. Ditto the small pop-up windows for Cashier, Help and other front-page links. A small Live Odds link is the lone gateway to betting lines, which should be the focus for new visitors. Once inside, the WorldGaming odds engine and betting menu takes over. Little effort is made to streamline the look and feel as one jumps from sportsbook to poker and casino, which again detracts from the professionalism of the site.
