Domiciled in Panama and merging in 2009 with its sister brand ThePig.com, Legendz is in line to climb the rankings ladder. Solid odds offering, excellent management and backing.

Bonuses, 8.9 – Bonuses are structured in a sensible way to mitigate initial complaints (capping win amount you can earn off an initial free parlay for example) and run along at the industry average. A 20% cash bonus on new deposits in fairly standard as is the 10% perk for reloading your account. There is a sensible $500 limit on bonus amounts, which should discourage ‘bonus whores’ who simply sign up to maximize their haul of free money, then move on to the next site. 8.7Odds variety, 92 – Standard industry odds offering with solid variety of North American sports odds, entertainment propos and international sporting events such as soccer, tennis and golf.

Customer Service, 8.9 – Legendz.com marketing materials – as well as the response when you make contact with one of their reps – focus on customer service. Indeed, professional and friendly customer support is a Legendz hallmark, for which they are recognized throughout the industry. Toll-free phone support and a modest Live Chat system keep you in touch and answers flowing freely.

Odds Variety, 8.7 - Not the full assortment of options and leagues, but a decent offering. Standard industry odds offering with solid variety of North American sports odds, entertainment propos and international sporting events such as soccer, tennis and golf. Site would do well to open up their Odds display for casual visitors, as many may arrive on the site, try unsuccessfully to find odds on their favorite team, then depart.

Overall Experience, 8.7 – Site is not great and you won’t have a great experience here if you are a professional high roller as Legendz.com caters to the recreational player like other books such as bodog and Sportsbook.com. Casino and racebook is offered, however there was no loyalty program as of July 2009.

Payment Solutions, 8.8 – Not the largest suite of payment options, but a tight array of Western Union, Moneygram, Moneybookers and others provide a solid payment processing foundation. Offers USD, UK, Euro and Canadian currencies.

Reputation, 8.8  – The first licensee to set up shop in Panama after exiting its regulatory regime in Costa Rica, Legendz has flown mainly under the radar. However a solid management group and stability which has yielded limited customer service issues. Moving to further solidify its hold on market share and to create a singular business focus by bringing affiliated site ThePig.com under the Legendz banner. *Of note, a site called LegendSportsbook.com popped up in the past year in an apparent bid to leech the credibility of Legendz.com for itself. LegendSportsbook.com is not ranked by TopSportsbooks.com and denounces attempts by startups or scam books to try to trick players into believing they are someone else.

Software, 8.7 – One of just a few top sportsbooks running BLR Technologies software, the platform has been well received and subject to very few issues or complaints. We are not overly familiar with this style of bet manager system, but will be learning more in ongoing discussions with management going forward.

Stability/License, 8.9 – Based in Panama and calling themselves ‘The World’s Most Respected Sportsbook’ is a bit of a stretch. But the company has done nothing to sabotage its good name with customer service debacles. Industry insiders like and respect the brand and the people behind it. This is a company we feel will be rising in the TopSportsbooks.com rankings and we look forward to learning more about their operation in the coming months.

TSB Experience, 7.5 – Members of TopSportsbooks.com have not been lucky enough to enjoy many points of contact with Legendz over the years, either during their early days in Costa Rica or since their move to Panama. Despite the absence of vendor/partner relationships, word of mouth about management there has been positive. It is one of the TopSportsbooks.com pledges for 2009-2010 to visit and learn more about this company. Without these personal experiences to relay and relate, this ranking number remains artificially low. We want to learn more!

Website , 8.4 – Not a site that screams credibility and professionalism, although everyone knows you can’t judge a book by its cover. Legendz.com could do with a makeover to provide more textual details and comforts on the home page. Casual reviewers have reported being turned off by the huge graphics and absence of company detail on the front. There is no way to view odds unless you find an Odds link in tiny print at the very bottom of the footer. This detracts from a casual visitor’s effort to explore the site and make a decision. Pages load quickly and professionally once logged in. Legendz Blog contains plenty of solid event preview details in a well-written format.
