Merger with BestLineSports.com sharpened focus and gave Panama-based company a solid push. Fair odds, responsible bonus structure have it climbing the ranks of top sportsbooks. Acquisition of sportsbetting.com brand presents challenges and opportunity.

Bonuses, 9.3 – Bonuses are generous, with a special Lifetime Bonus Guarantee and first-deposit bonuses that sretch towards $900. Basic 25% free play bonus and an improving loyalty program allows clients to add even more free bets and income potential to their bankroll. A 7% rebate in the racebook extends to most North American racetracks, although some offer a reduced 4%.

Customer Service, 9.1 – raised .2 in Aug, 2012 - Commitment to customer focus is what has elevated BetOnline.com from relative obscurity in 2005 to established and growing brand in 2011. New and experienced users can find something of value here and many do. Live Help and pledge of 24-7 phone support is a good safety net for customers. Acquisition of Sportsbetting.com brand and business in 2012 will test its ability to manage client expectations and deal with old grudges from customers of that acquired site. Forums have approved so far with payouts dating back several years.

Odds variety, 9.4 – Plenty of options for sports and proposition bets and all laid out in a slick, tabbed format so finding your preferred bet is easy. So is finding other related wagers of interest. Of note, a specific area of exotic bets where political, Olympic Games and entertainment props reside.

Overall Experience, 9.2 – The absence of poker had detracted slightly from what is otherwise a solid product and user experience. But adding in poker and racebook in recent years strengthened its apppeal with an increasingly demanding player base Software is solid, content is solid, odds presentation is good. Site has some stylish elements but lacks overall in comparison with some of the top brands.

Payment Solutions, 9.1 – Promoted themselves as the best credit card processor in 2011 and they have enjoyed relative success on the payment processing side. Fewer options for moving money than at other top sportsbooks, but if the available options are effective, that is the most important thing. Vendors and players patient in 2012 when issues unrelated to management performance caused some delays.

Reputation, 9.0  – Improving reputation stems from the recent merger of Betonline.com and BestLineSports.com in 2007 and commitment to excellence from its location in Panama. Relatively new operation on the BetOnline side, commencing action around 2004, where it was not a highly regarded startup. BestLineSports acquired the company and its excellent domain as the lynchpin of its marketing push. Company focus on customer service has raised its profile and integrity level in recent years.

Software, 9.0– Running industry-standard ASI platform, solid, reliable and battle-tested in the online gaming space for many years. Company has made some enhancements of the program and pledges to continue upgrades and innovations in this area.

Stability/License, 9.2 – Based in Panama, after its acquiring company established long ago in Costa Roca. It is one of two license holders in the Central American nation and has grown into a considerable employer in Panama City. The management group appears solid and committed and BetOnline.com appears to be doing all things that indicate a company in it for the long haul. By that, we mean fair treatment of employees and vendors, investment in product and customer service improvements.

TSB Experience, 9.1 – raised .3 in Aug 2012 - Members of TopSportsbooks.com have a limited relationship and camaraderie with BetONline.com in 2008-2009. Members visited the Panama headquarters to meet and greet with management and marketing officials in 2009. Several vendor relationships have been struck with various firms affiliated with TopSportsbooks.com and all have been marching along as per contract and without interruption. The pledge to work professionally and respectfully with vendors and partners is usually a bellwether indication of how they will deal with customers, hence its importance in how TopSportsbooks.com ranks online sportsbooks.

Website , 9.1 – * increased .2 Sept 2011 and .2 again Aug 2012 - Improved site still not quite up to the level of other top sportsbooks, but the access to content and entry points to sign up and wager menus is solid. The company demonstrates its commitment to customer service by having the Live Support as one of the prominent links on the site – when you have questions, they want to answer them for you. Betting Edge contains excellent writing on sports and events of note and the links to racebook and casino are clearly positioned. Site has endured some pockets of sporadic outage in 2009, but loads quickly when its running well.
